Ladle Furnaces
Ladle Furnaces
Work in the ladle furnace is an essential part of secondary metal science processing, such as refining, temperature regulation of liquid steel, and chemical composition with the goal of improving the quality of the steel.
In the iron and steel industry, although the movements of the ladle furnace are less hydraulically, the electrode movements are controlled by proportional valves. Work in the ladle furnace is an essential part of secondary metal science processing, such as refining, temperature regulation of liquid steel, and chemical composition with the goal of improving the quality of the steel.
The scrap processed in the Arc Furnace is brought to the Ladle Furnaces for chemical enrichment in liquid form. The complete movements of the Ladle Furnace are made hydraulically. It consists of Hydraulic Power Unit, Valve Stands, Battery Stand and Nitrogen Stand.
In standard ladle furnace applications, there are three or four different movements in the hydraulic system according to the project. The most important of them are; Electrode Regulation stands out as Roof Lifting movements. Electrode Regulation cylinder carries out the movement of the Electrodes that will enter the furnace. Rexroth high precision 4WRLE Servo valves are used for cylinder movement.
Roof Lifting cylinder performs the opening and closing operation of the cooker cover. Roof Lifting movement is also operated with Rexroth high precision 4WRKE Proportional valve. ROTH Accumulator and Nitrogen Stand are used in the system for protection and reinforcement of the system against electrical failures. About 20 Ladle Furnace Project Hydraulic Systems of different sizes have been designed around the world.
